Biography

Dr. Ozcan's specialties are mathematical modeling applications in health care, health care information systems, and general statistical applications. His scholarly work is in the areas of health systems productivity, technical efficiency, financial efficiency, and effectiveness for health care providers. More specifically, his specialty is focused on creating benchmarks for physicians and other health care providers using Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA). Dr. Ozcan served as Interim Executive Director, Office of International Education, Virginia Commonwealth University. He is founding Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Health Care Management Science and past-president of Health Care Applications Section of Institute for Operations Research and Management Science (INFORMS).
