MGMA Student Network

"The mission of the Medical Group Management Association is to improve the effectiveness of medical group practices and the knowledge and skills of the individuals who manage/lead them."

The Medical Group Management Association (MGMA), founded in 1926, is the nation's principal voice for medical group practice. MGMA's 19,000 members manage and lead 11,000 organizations in which approximately 220,000 physicians practice. MGMA leads the profession and assists members through information, education, networking and advocacy.

Through the Virginia Commonwealth University MGMA/ACMPE Student Network, students are able to network with administrators in the community, participate in physician practice site visits, and learn valuable information from the annual Spring Event, which focuses on current issues. Also the MGMA Annual Conference, held each fall, which attracts several thousand practice leaders that student members receive a substantial discount on the registration fees.
