Health Care Services - Challenging opportunity to lead major project implementations and contract management activity for health/managed care programs administered by the Department of Medical Assistance Services. The incumbent conducts and reviews research related to managed care programs and prepares analysis as requested by the Managed Care Manager, Division/Agency Management. Additionally acts as a point of contact for managed care policy issues. Requires comprehensive knowledge and experience in the development, implementation, operation and evaluation of complex health care research, policy, and operations projects. Must have comprehensive knowledge of the principles and practices of the managed care industry, health care programs, and the regulatory process. Requires demonstrated ability to communicate effectively through presentations and reports, both oral and written. Experience involving analysis of health care and managed care policy as well as contract management is required. Must be proficient using PC software for analysis, reporting and presentation. Experience with Medicaid or Medicare preferred. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in public health, public or business administration or related field desired; Master’s strongly recommended. |
